Women, Infants and Children (WIC)Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program which provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday based on nutritional risk and income eligibility. The primary services provided are health screening, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and referrals to health care. Supplemental food is provided at no cost to participants.
Child and Adult Care Food Program The program provides funding for meals and snacks for eligible children and adults at child and adult day care centers, homes that provide child care services, after school programs and emergency shelters.
The Summer Food Service Program The program provides funds for meals served to low-income school-age students and qualifying adults with disabilities during the summer when school is not in session. The meals are served by schools and community-based organizations at hundreds of locations throughout the state
The Missouri Commodity Supplemental Food Program The program distributes food to qualifying women, infants and children and senior citizens age 60 and older. Dozens of community organizations across the state help determine program eligibility, distribute the food, and provide nutrition education to program participants.
Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW)Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) is a free breast and cervical cancer screening program for the state of Missouri.
WISEWOMAN (Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation)This program provides heart disease and stroke prevention health screenings and education to clients of the Show Me Healthy Women (SMHW) program

Missouri's Medicaid
Missouri's Medicaid works effectively for low-income families by giving them access to best medical facilities by paying their medical expenses including foster and adoptive children, pregnant women and women having breast or cervical cancer and for those people whose income is not enough to meet the cost of required medical services.
To be eligible for Medicaid you should belong to any of the following category:
- pregnant
- over the age of 65
- a child or teenager age 18 or under
- been diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer
- need nursing home care
- disabilities
- blind
Vital Records
The office of vital records work towards providing authentic records and data related to any vital records of all the citizens of Missouri without any trouble. These records are essential for administration of law and for the protection of individual rights.
- Download the application and submit it in person or by mail to the nearest local health department to request a birth or death certificate from a local health department.
- To request a certified copy of a marriage license contact the Recorder of Deeds.
- To request a certified copy of a divorce decree contact the Circuit Clerk in the county.
